quick lil' impulsive pit stop while strolling thru Harlem, I've been craving crab sticks since moving back over here but haven't really found the right spot for 'em (Nor have I continued to look thinking it wasn't in God's plans for me and who am I to change God's plan?) :) :/ :p Quiet little hidden gem in the midst of everything else on the strip, real nonchalant Dominican folks running it (WEPA) !! The actual crab meat had an authentic, delicate touch/taste to it, all the added sauce did the serving right and the side of tostones provided a good Ol' tag team maneuver thru my tastebuds and intestines so I'm messing w it . - DISCLAIMER- I'm not the same "Dee M." that also left a review here, 2 completely different people
The food is always fresh and good. Everything is made to order plus they have fresh seafood that can also be made to order. I have never had a bad experience here!!!
Take out only. Very busy, so you know the fish is pretty fresh. They steam and fry really quickly. Perfect for when you don't want your apartment smelling like fish for days on end!
Really enjoyed their food! I got fried shrimp and scallops with a side of mashed potatoes and Brussels sprouts. Shrimp and scallops were both big, first of all. The potatoes were buttery and creamy. The veggies were seasoned very well. The lemonade was sweet, tart, and refreshing. A full meal that left me full and satisfied.
I ordered from here recently and left a less-than-kind review on Seamless that I'm working to have removed. Though I was disappointed by the amount of fish I ordered, they were right that I ordered from the wrong section of the menu and thus I received what I ordered and I wanted to be fair to say they are a great establishment, and like others have mentioned, the fish is always fresh and wonderfully prepared. My bad in misjudging and I promise I won't stop until the Seamless review is removed. Thank you, Sugar Hill Fish Place.
This place is a gem! The fish is fresh, freshly fried, and so flavorful. Will definitely be coming back :)
Their pastelitos are quite good. Have tried the shrimp, crab and salmon. The crab one had a seasoning that I didn't quite care for, so will likely not get again. The salmon is good. The shrimp is my favorite. All have a good amount of meat inside although they are on the small side. They also have fresh raw seafood that you can choose and they will cook it for you. Going to consider doing this one day. Staff is friendly, except for one guy who can rub you the wrong way. Place is small and quite busy.
Excellent fresh fish and prepared fish to go!!! I am extremely picky about my fish I will only eat it fresh, I've had their salmon steak and the shrimp delish!
